14th edition of the Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2022 organized by the Royal Observatory Greenwich in collaboration with Liberty Specialty Markets and together with BBC Sky at Night Magazine.
The winning photograph was a capture of Comet Leonard by Austrian photographer Gerald Rhemann, who baptized his image as Disconnection Event (moment of disconnection), after capturing it on Christmas Day 2021.
